Building a job posting site

The best way to create a job posting site is to use Web Apps . Web apps will allow recruiters to post the jobs to the site through a Secure Zone and applicants to browse those postings and apply for the jobs posted.

The following is a list of tasks to follow as a guide:

  • Create a Web App and two Secure Zones.
  • Place a web app creation form inside one Secure Zone for recruiters to post the jobs. The other Secure Zone recognizes the user, so that their job application form can be pre-populated. For the pre-population feature, use the modules found HERE.
  • Place an application form inside the detailed view of a Web App. That form must have a hidden field, which you can populate with the web name and/or a link using some simple JavaScript to populate the field. The code example below illustrates this:
document.getElementById('hiddenField').value = document.getElementById('ShippingAddress');

To manage the resume file and to allow users to send other files to go with the job application, you can add multiple file attachment fields to the form. The application form itself is a simple standard web form.
