Creating campaign templates for your customers

Business Catalyst allows you to design and build email templates and assign these templates to sites for your customers to use. These templates are added within your Partner Portal and can have a preview image that is available when a customer starts a new email campaign.

Warning: Liquid code snippets or module_data do not work for email campaigns just yet.

Adding a Newsletter Template

  1. Log in to the admin of any of your sites, and then select Go to Partner Portal from the menu next to your partner logo. 
  2. Select Tools > Newsletter Templates.
  3. Click Add New Newsletter Template
  4. You can start creating your template here, or copy and paste an existing template's HTML into the editor's HTML view.
  5. Enter a template name, and select a preview image for this template.
    The preview image is displayed to customers in the template selection screen when creating an email campaign.
  6. Click Save.

Repeat the above process to create all the email templates you would like to use for your customers. The next step is to assign the templates to the appropriate sites.

Assigning a template

  1. Log in to the admin of any of your sites, and then select Go to Partner Portal from the menu next to your partner logo.  
  2. Select Tools > Newsletter Templates.
  3. Click Assign newsletter templates to site.
  4. Select a site from the drop-down menu, and then select the templates to assign.
  5. Use the arrow keys to move the template from the left panel to the right.
  6. Click Close
